My Family Legacy Trip
I had the incredible honor of visiting my 3rd great-grandfather Frank Benton’s former estate in Rome, GA—a journey I’ll never forget. The highlight of my trip was meeting the Proctor family, who now owns 24 acres of the property and have preserved its beauty as their wedding & event venue.
Mr. Proctor shared a heartfelt gift with me: an andiron that he found on the estate while building the chapel. Holding this piece of history in my hands was deeply moving—it’s a tangible connection to my ancestors, a treasure I will cherish forever.
Moments like these fuel my passion for preserving and celebrating our family’s legacy. The past is alive, and I’m so grateful to be part of this incredible story.
